Turkish Birth Certificate Translation UK (Certified)
Whether you need your Turkish birth certificate (nüfus kayıt örneği) translated for a visa application, passport renewal, school enrolment, or citizenship application, I provide certified translations accepted by UK authorities and institutions.

Why a UK-based Chartered Linguist? Every certified translation is done and signed by me personally — no subcontracting — with free correction if a UK authority rejects it and signed copies posted anywhere in the UK. Find out why it matters.
What I translate
- Nüfus kayıt örneği (civil registry extract). Many people in Türkiye use a civil registry extract (nüfus kayıt örneği) as proof of birth. It is issued by the District Civil Registry Office (Nüfus Müdürlüğü), or can be downloaded from e-Devlet, and records your birth details alongside your parents and place of registration.
- Uluslararası (Çok Dilli) Doğum Kayıt Örneği – Formül A (Multilingual extract from the birth record [Formül A]). Formül A, officially the Uluslararası Doğum Kayıt Örneği, is the multilingual extract from the birth record, issued by any District Civil Registry Office (Nüfus Müdürlüğü), a Turkish consulate or e-Devlet. It is a standard form under an international convention, with headings in several languages. The UK has not signed that convention, so UK authorities still need a certified English translation.

Frequently asked questions
Is this accepted for UK visa and immigration applications? Yes — the translation includes a signed statement of accuracy and my professional credentials, meeting the format UKVI and other UK authorities expect. For a fuller explanation, see my guide: Certified vs Sworn, Notarised, Legalised and Apostilled.
My birth certificate has official stamps and registry numbers — are these translated too?
Yes, everything on the original document is reflected in the translation, including stamps, seals, and reference numbers, so the translation is a complete and faithful record of the source.
Do you need the physical original, or is a scan enough?
A clear scan or photograph is normally enough to produce the certified translation. If your specific application requires the physical original to be seen, let me know and I’ll advise.
Can you also translate an accompanying document, like a parent’s ID or a nüfus kayıt örneği? Yes — send both documents together and I’ll quote for the full set.
Yes — send both documents together and I’ll quote for the full set.
How much does a birth certificate translation cost?
Certified birth certificate translations start from £30 per one page document (applies to digitally delivered translations of short, one page documents such as diplomas, degree certificates or birth certificates). You receive the translation as a PDF with a digital stamp and a signed certificate of translation.
Can I get a hard copy with a physical stamp and wet signature?
Yes. If you need a hard copy translation with a physical stamp and wet signature posted to you, there is an additional charge of £15 per order. Hard copy translations are sent by Royal Mail First Class 24 Hour Tracked and Signed For Delivery.
What if my document has more than one page?
Documents with multiple pages are priced at £0.10 per word. I’ll confirm a fixed price before any work begins.
Why should I use a qualified translator for my certified translation?
In the UK, anyone can call themselves a certified translator. If the organisation receiving your document can’t verify who translated it, they may reject it — which can mean delays and paying twice. Choosing a translator who belongs to a recognised body such as the CIOL or ITI gives your translation credentials that anyone can check.
How can I check your credentials?
I’m a Chartered Linguist and member of the CIOL (no. 42759) and a qualified member of the ITI (no. 8695). You can look me up in both bodies’ public directories, and my membership details appear on every certificate of translation I issue.
