I provide English into Turkish Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) services.
As Wikipedia describes it, post-editing is “the process whereby humans amend machine-generated translation to achieve an acceptable final product.” There are two recognised levels of post-editing — light, focused on correcting only major errors so the text is accurate and understandable, and full, which brings the machine output up to a standard indistinguishable from human translation in terms of style, tone and fluency. I offer both, depending on your content, budget and intended use.
MTPE is increasingly used by businesses that need to translate high volumes of content quickly and cost-effectively without sacrificing accuracy. As a native Turkish linguist with over a decade of professional experience, I bring the cultural and linguistic judgement that raw machine translation lacks — correcting mistranslations, awkward phrasing, terminology errors and tone mismatches so the final Turkish text reads naturally and fits its purpose.
Where This Fits
MTPE works well for:
- Large volumes of website or product content on a tight turnaround
- Ongoing content pipelines (e-commerce listings, help centres, knowledge bases) where fully manual translation isn’t cost-effective at scale
- Internal or lower-visibility material where light post-editing is sufficient
- Customer-facing or brand content where full post-editing brings the result up to publication quality
Examples of Past MTPE Work
- English into Turkish translation, localisation, transcreation and MTPE of ongoing website content for Marriott Hotels, using Smartling — April 2021 onwards
- English into Turkish MTPE of hotel definitions for a range of properties worldwide, for Marriott Hotels — January 2021
