Certified Turkish Translator Near Me in the UK
Looking for a Turkish translator near you? Whether you’re in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or anywhere else in the UK, you don’t need someone based around the corner — you need qualified, certified Turkish-English translation that is accurate and officially recognised, wherever you are.
As a Chartered Linguist (CIOL) and ITI member based in Hampshire, I provide certified Turkish-English translation services to clients across the entire UK — no matter your postcode.

Why a UK-based Chartered Linguist? Every certified translation is done and signed by me personally — no subcontracting — with free correction if a UK authority rejects it and signed copies posted anywhere in the UK. Find out why it matters.
What Is a Certified Translation?
A certified translation comes with a signed statement confirming its accuracy and completeness — the format most UK institutions require. This differs from a sworn or notarised translation, which involves an additional legal step witnessed by a notary or solicitor, more common in some European legal systems than in the UK.
In practice, this means your translated document is accompanied by a signed declaration, my professional credentials, and an official stamp — everything UK bodies like the Home Office, UKVI, and universities look for before accepting a translated document.

Why “Near Me” Doesn’t Mean What It Used To
Certified document translation doesn’t require an in-person visit. All you need to do is:
- Send a clear scan or photo of your document
- Receive your certified translation as a PDF, usually within 1–2 business days
- Get a posted hard copy too, if your application requires an original signature or stamp
This means you get the same quality and turnaround whether you’re based in Southampton or Southsea, Glasgow or Cardiff — with no travel, no in-person appointments, and no delays.
Areas I Cover
I work with clients throughout the UK, including but not limited to:
- London and Greater London
- Portsmouth, Southampton and the South Coast
- Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds

Wherever you’re based, your documents are handled with the same care, accuracy, and certified standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What’s the difference between a certified and a sworn Turkish translation?
A certified translation comes with a signed statement confirming accuracy and completeness, which is what most UK institutions require. A sworn or notarised translation involves an additional legal step witnessed by a notary or solicitor, more common in some European legal systems than in the UK. For a fuller explanation, see my guide: Certified vs Sworn, Notarised, Legalised and Apostilled.
2. Do I need to meet you in person?
No. All documents are sent digitally as a scan or photo, and your certified translation is returned as a PDF — with a posted hard copy available if your application requires one. This means location is never a barrier, wherever in the UK you’re based.
3. Can you post certified translations anywhere in the UK?
Yes. Posted hard copies with an embossed stamp and wet signature are sent via Royal Mail First Class 24 Hour Tracked and Signed For Delivery to any UK address. There is an additional charge of £15 per order for hard copies with a physical stamp and wet signature.
4. How do I get a quote for my document?
Send a clear scan or photo of your document and I’ll come back with a fixed price and delivery date, usually within a few hours.
5. How quickly can you turn around a certified translation?
Standard turnaround is 1–2 business days for a digital copy, and 2 business days if you also need a posted hard copy. Same-day delivery is available for an additional fee — get in touch with your deadline and I’ll confirm.
6. How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified translations start from £30 per one page document (applies to digitally delivered translations of short, one page documents such as diplomas, degree certificates or birth certificates), sent to you as a PDF with a digital stamp and signed certificate of translation. A posted hard copy with a physical stamp and wet signature is an additional £15 per order. Apart from specific documents and short, one-page documents, documents with multiple pages are priced at £0.10 per word.
7. Why should I use a qualified translator for my certified translation?
In the UK, anyone can call themselves a certified translator. If the organisation receiving your document can’t verify who translated it, they may reject it — which can mean delays and paying twice. Choosing a translator who belongs to a recognised body such as the CIOL or ITI gives your translation credentials that anyone can check.
8. How can I check your credentials?
I’m a Chartered Linguist and member of the CIOL (no. 42759) and a qualified member of the ITI (no. 8695). You can look me up in both bodies’ public directories, and my membership details appear on every certificate of translation I issue.
